SINGAPORE, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Singapore reported 2,463 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the total tally to 310,276.
Of the new cases, 873 were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 1,590 through ART (antigen rapid test) tests, according to the statistics released by the Ministry of Health.
Among the PCR cases, 636 were local transmissions and 237 were imported cases. Among the ART cases with mild symptoms and assessed to be of low risk, 1,582 were local transmissions and eight imported cases, respectively.
A total of 401 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with 11 cases in the intensive care units.
One death was reported from COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 847, the ministry said.
