BEIJING, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

YANGON -- The death toll of COVID-19 has risen to 2,028 in Myanmar, with 30 newly reported deaths on Thursday, according to a release from the Health and Sports Ministry.
The number of confirmed cases has increased to 95,018, with 1,418 more cases, the release said, and 73,748 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

DHAKA -- Bangladesh reported 2,316 new COVID-19 cases and 35 new deaths on Thursday, making the tally at 471,739 and death toll at 6,748, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
The official data showed that 16,807 samples were tested in the last 24 hours across Bangladesh.

SINGAPORE -- Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) reported nine new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 58,239.
Of the new cases, eight are imported cases, and the remaining are linked with the dormitories of foreign workers.

STOCKHOLM -- Sweden's COVID-19 death toll surpassed the 7,000 threshold Thursday as the country's coronavirus infections continued to rise sharply, according to official statistics.
Some 35 new COVID-19 related deaths were registered in Sweden on Thursday, bringing the total death toll up to 7,007, reported the Swedish Public Health Agency.

ADDIS ABABA -- The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the African continent has reached 2,196,257 as of Thursday afternoon, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) said on Thursday.
The continental disease control and prevention agency said in a statement that the death toll related to the pandemic stood at 52,490.
